Choosing the language
Send language with every request. Requests may also use the plain language name or the two-letter code (hindi, hi); the response always reports the canonical code. Automatic language detection (language: "auto") is coming soon and is rejected with capability_unavailable until it launches.
Scripts
Each language is written in its usual script: Devanagari for Hindi, Marathi, Nepali, Sanskrit, Bodo, Dogri, Konkani, Maithili and Sindhi; Bengali–Assamese script for Bengali, Assamese and Manipuri; Ol Chiki for Santali; Perso-Arabic for Urdu and Kashmiri; and each South Indian language, Gujarati, Punjabi (Gurmukhi) and Odia in its own script.
English
en-IN returns English in Latin script. English has one output mode, native.
Mixed speech
People in India rarely speak one language at a time. Choose the main language of the recording and the code-mixed mode: English words come back in English, the rest in the language's script.
